Artisan Vent Hood offers three range hood ventilation options: an internal motor, a ductless conversion and a remote blower. Each system is designed for a different kitchen layout, installation requirement and noise preference.

1. Internal Motor

The motor is installed inside the range hood and exhausts cooking air outdoors through ductwork.

An internal motor, also called an internal blower, is the most common ventilation option for residential range hoods. The blower is housed inside the hood insert, where it pulls smoke, grease, heat and odors through the filters before directing the air outside.

Best for:

-New construction and kitchen remodeling projects
-Homeowners who want strong, dependable ventilation
-Projects that require a simple, integrated blower system

A remote blower separates the motor from the range hood insert. Smoke, grease and cooking odors are still captured at the hood and exhausted outdoors, but the blower motor operates farther away from the cooking area. Moving the motor away from the hood can reduce the motor noise heard directly above the range. Air movement through the filters and ductwork will still be audible.

3. Ductless Conversion

Because each hood is custom made, the production timeline begins after you have reviewed, signed, and approved the final drawing.

Free Standard Shipping

Free standard shipping is available to most addresses within the United States.
The estimated total lead time is 40–50 business days after final drawing approval. This generally includes:

-20–25 business days for shipping and delivery

Expedited Shipping

Need your hood sooner? Expedited shipping is available for an additional fee.
The estimated total lead time is 25–35 business days after final drawing approval, including:

DHL expedited service is available for an additional charge. The final cost depends on the size of the range hood.

Caring for a Copper Range Hood

Our copper range hoods are handcrafted from durable 16-gauge copper and finished with a clear protective coating. Gentle cleaning will help preserve the color and surface finish.

Routine Cleaning

For everyday care, dampen a soft cotton cloth with warm water and a mild, non-acidic soap. Gently wipe the surface to remove dust, grease, and cooking residue.

Choose a pH-neutral cleaner whenever possible. Strong dishwashing liquids, abrasive cleaning products, and aggressive scrubbing may affect the protective finish.

Removing Buildup

For heavier residue or occasional disinfecting, use a diluted household cleaner that is both non-corrosive and non-abrasive.

Apply the cleaner with a soft cloth and avoid using anything that could scratch the copper or damage its clear coating.

Drying the Surface

3. Add the Hood to Your Cart

Once you have completed your selections, add the product to your cart. You may include any additional project information or special requests in the order notes.

4. Review Your Order

Before checking out, carefully review the selected model, dimensions, finish, decorative details, ventilation option, shipping information, and order total.

5. Complete Checkout

7. Approve the Design

Production begins after we receive your drawing approval. Because each hood is made to order, design or measurement changes may not be possible once production has started.

8. Review the Finished Hood

When your range hood is complete, we will send finished-product photos for review before shipment. This gives you an opportunity to view the completed hood before it is packed and dispatched.

9. Shipping and Tracking

After the hood is cleared for shipment, it will be carefully packed and sent to the delivery address on the order.

Tracking or freight delivery information will be emailed when it becomes available. Shipping estimates and delivery terms are governed by our Shipping Policy.

Order Your Range Hood Online

Designing and ordering your custom range hood online is easy. Follow the steps below to choose your finishes, decorative details, dimensions, ventilation system, and shipping option.

Step 1: Choose the Crown Style and Finish

Start by selecting the color and style of the crown at the top of your range hood. Click Crown Color to choose your preferred metal and finish. Then select a Crown Type or choose No Crown for a simpler look. As you make your selections, the 3D model will update so you can see how your custom hood will look.

Step 2: Choose the Body and Apron Colors

Next, choose the main colors for your range hood. Select the Body Color for the main section of the hood. Then choose an Apron Color for the lower section. You can use the same finish for a clean, coordinated look or mix different finishes to create more contrast. The 3D model will update as you make your selections, so you can preview the color combination before continuing. Some premium and custom finishes may include an additional charge, which will be added to the price automatically.

Step 3: Choose the Strap Color

Next, choose whether you would like decorative straps on the body of the hood. Select No Strap for a clean, simple design, or choose a strap finish that complements or contrasts with the main body color. Your selection will appear on the 3D model immediately.

Step 4: Choose the Rivet Style and Color

If you would like decorative rivets, select your preferred Rivet Type, such as round or square rivets. Then choose the Rivet Color. You can coordinate the rivets with the straps or select a different finish to create more contrast. Choose No Rivet if you prefer a smoother, more minimal look.

Step 5: Add a Pot Rail

Choose whether you would like to add a decorative pot rail to the front of the hood. Select No Pot Rail if you do not need one, or choose your preferred Pot Rail Color from the available finishes. Some pot rail finishes may have an additional charge. Any price change will be shown on the page automatically.

Step 6: Select the Size, Mounting Type, and Ventilation

Open the Dimensions & Mount section and choose the following options:
Mount Type: Select a wall-mount or island-mount design.
Width: Choose the width that fits your cooking area.
Height: Select the hood height based on your ceiling height and kitchen layout.
Ventilation: Choose your preferred liner, internal motor, remote blower, ductless system, or hood-only option.
Next, open Shipping Options and select the available shipping method.
Review the updated design and total price. Once everything looks correct, click Add to Cart.
