This Artisan Texas Barrel Custom Stainless Steel Kitchen Hood ATHS-19 takes the usual stainless steel hood and gives it a completely different shape.

The most noticeable feature is the continuous barrel-like curve across the entire front. Instead of a flat canopy with a separate curved section, the stainless steel surface rolls smoothly from the top toward the front edge, creating one long, uninterrupted arc. The result is a metal range hood with a strong sculptural profile and a much softer transition between each section.

Three gold straps wrap over the curved body, following the same arc from the top all the way down the front. Their placement does more than add color—the straps visually divide the long canopy into distinct sections and make the curvature much easier to see. From a distance, they create a repeating pattern; up close, they highlight the shape of the metal itself.

Then come the dark rivets. Each gold strap is secured with evenly spaced black rivets that stand out clearly against both the gold and brushed stainless steel. The contrast gives the designer kitchen hood a slightly industrial edge and keeps the large curved surface from looking too plain.

1. Internal Motor

The motor is installed inside the range hood and exhausts cooking air outdoors through ductwork.

An internal motor, also called an internal blower, is the most common ventilation option for residential range hoods. The blower is housed inside the hood insert, where it pulls smoke, grease, heat and odors through the filters before directing the air outside.

-Homeowners who want strong, dependable ventilation

2. Remote Blower

The motor is installed away from the range hood, typically in the attic or another approved location along the duct route.

A remote blower separates the motor from the range hood insert. Smoke, grease and cooking odors are still captured at the hood and exhausted outdoors, but the blower motor operates farther away from the cooking area. Moving the motor away from the hood can reduce the motor noise heard directly above the range. Air movement through the filters and ductwork will still be audible.

3. Ductless Conversion

Free Standard Shipping

The estimated total lead time is 40–50 business days after final drawing approval. This generally includes:

Expedited Shipping

Need your hood sooner? Expedited shipping is available for an additional fee.
The estimated total lead time is 25–35 business days after final drawing approval, including:

Caring for a Copper Range Hood

Our copper range hoods are handcrafted from durable 16-gauge copper and finished with a clear protective coating. Gentle cleaning will help preserve the color and surface finish.

Routine Cleaning

For everyday care, dampen a soft cotton cloth with warm water and a mild, non-acidic soap. Gently wipe the surface to remove dust, grease, and cooking residue.

Choose a pH-neutral cleaner whenever possible. Strong dishwashing liquids, abrasive cleaning products, and aggressive scrubbing may affect the protective finish.

Removing Buildup

For heavier residue or occasional disinfecting, use a diluted household cleaner that is both non-corrosive and non-abrasive.
